Product Development Coordinator

We are seeking a full-time Product Development Coordinator committed to helping drive our business with a passion for the apparel industry.

The Product Development Coordinator, under minimum supervision, develops and produces samples and maintains technical product data of the apparel garments to be produced in the Company's factories.

Qualifications:

  • College level knowledge of design, including art, color and textiles – Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in fabric and basic garment construction, merchandising and production processes in the apparel industry helpful.
  • Specific work experience is not mandatory; product development experience in the apparel industry is helpful.
  • Strong sense of urgency to help drive the business forward.

Skills/Aptitudes:

  • Attention to detail is a must!
  • Ability to deal with people at all organizational levels and work within a team environment.
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Ability to resolve problems -- with solutions!
  • Good and verbal and written communication skills.

Software Skills:

  • Basic to Intermediate Microsoft software skills.
  • Adobe Illustrator and Text Design helpful.

Duties:

  • Attains and maintains full knowledge of factory's garment production processes to ensure manufacturability of new product designs and new constructions.
  • Attains and maintains full knowledge of product specifications and measurements to ensure new product designs and new constructions are compliant with internal and customer specifications.
  • Coordinates and monitors the progress of garment samples through manufacturing to completion.
  • Constructs prototype and sample garments via sewing and other operations, as required.
  • Maintains product technical data and specifications within product data management system (PDM), including product technical packs.
  • Some overtime may be required.
